Ingredients
- 1 lb extra lean ground beef
- 4 cups beef broth
- 2 cups small pasta (broken lasagna noodles or rotini)
- 1 jar (650 mL) marinara sauce
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Cool Runnings all natural all purpose seasoning
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ cup ricotta cheese
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Fresh parsley or basil, chopped, for garnish
Directions
1. In a large pot over medium high heat, brown the ground beef for about 5 minutes. Add onion and garlic and cook 2 to 3 minutes until fragrant.
2. Stir in all natural all purpose seasoning, salt, pepper, marinara sauce, beef broth, and pasta. Mix well and bring to a boil.
3. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender.
4. Serve hot topped with mozzarella cheese, a dollop of ricotta, and fresh herbs if desired.
